Alex Barber joined ACD in August of 2022 as a Development Analyst, bringing with him a strong background in real estate underwriting. Since then, Alex has served in a broad range of functions supporting both the acquisition of new assets and the development of ground-up construction projects across all ACD’s geographies and core conviction asset classes. In 2024, Alex was promoted to the role of Investment Associate, continuing to utilize his strong background in economics and finance.
Prior to joining ACD, Alex spent six years at Cherry Creek Mortgage as an underwriter for many of the company’s top sales branches. During this time, he received several industry certifications including a Direct Endorsement (DE) from HUD, while also becoming one of the company’s top producing underwriters.

Outside of work Alex enjoys flyfishing, running, travel, classic cars and spending time with family and friends.
Education
Alex earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a Business Certificate from the University of Colorado at Boulder and holds a Master of Science in Real Estate and the Built Environment from the University of Denver.
